Farm Description

The Butterhof Family has been farming this land since 1854, starting out as The Chestnut Grove Winery, the farm switched from winery to produce during prohibition. Butterhof's Shady Brook Farm opens in late May/early June with fresh picked strawberries and bedding plants, in the summer months it is Jersey Fresh corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peppers, fresh cut flowers, peaches, fresh baked pies, melons, and blueberries. In fall it is our own fresh squeezed apple cider, apples, pumpkins, mums, corn stalks, and more pies! We also open our 3 acre corn maze from mid September through Oct. 31st, with the corn maze also comes hayrides and pumpkin picking. The farm closes for the winter.
